The Employment and Labour Relations Court in Nairobi yesterday stayed the implementation of a circular dated 7th June,2018 which had directed Homa bay sub county medicàl officer of Health to identify and terminate the employment contracts of 55 Nurses from Homabay County and who had participated in a strike in the month of March 2018.
Justice Nelson Abuodha directed that the file be transferred to Kisumu ELRC which jurisdiction of this case falls under. The matter will be heard inter parties on 17th July 2018.
KenyaNational UnionofNurses had filed the matter in Nairobi under certificate of urgency since the Employment and Labour Relations Court in Kisumu was not sitting.
