RE: NOTICE OF ELECTIONS
This is pursuant to the election notice issued on 9th November 2017 and further to the verification report by the National Election Board held on 1st December 2017. Notice is hereby given that the national elections by all members of the Kenya National Union of Nurses be held on 5th January 2018 at 8:00am to 3:00pm in all the County Headquarters, specific venues to be communicated later.
Moi Teaching & Referral Hospital and the National Government Branch will conduct elections at the venue to be decided by their branch officials. The position to be contested is the National Chairperson.
Below are the candidates who qualified to contest for the vacant position of the National Chair.
1. Bongoko Omai- Trans Nzoia County
2. Ahmed Aden Halima- Machakos County
3. Benson K. Biwott- Elgeyo Marakwet County
The qualified candidates for the position of National Chairperson in accordance with the National Election Board verifications report are advised to embark on civilized campaigns devoid of malice and retrogressive actions.
The campaigns should start immediately and end on 29th December 2017 at 5:00 p.m and no candidate will be allowed to campaign beyond that date otherwise he/she will be disqualified.
Any person with tangible reasons as to why cleared contenders should not contest for the seat are requested to file their complaint with the National Election Board within (2) two weeks from the date of this notice.
